Pre-Ballet/Creative Movement: Ages 3-4 years
In Pre-ballet, students will learn how to be good listeners and followers by playing fun games like follow the leader. They will learn the basic feet and arm positions and simple ballet steps along with a fun dose of creative movement. They will be encouraged to practice their creativity and musicality by dancing according to different tempos and styles of classical music.

Beginning Ballet: Grades K-2nd
In Beginning Ballet, students will learn basic ballet terminology, positions, movements and musicality according to their age and ability. Students will also learn about stretching, and how to hold themselves with graceful strength.

Ballet I: Grades 3rd-6th
In Ballet I, this level will grow in basic ballet terminology, positions, movements and musicality according to their age and ability. Students will also learn about stretching, and how to hold themselves with graceful strength. One semester of previous dance experience is preferred but not required.

Ballet II: Grades 7th-8th
In Ballet II, students will work to solidify their learned ballet positions, strengthening their muscle control and intentionality. They will grow in skill and grace, learning to carry themselves with core strength, using fluid motions and precise movements. Two semesters of previous dance experience is required.

Dance Attire for ALL Ballet Classes
Students should wear a ballet leotard, ballet skirt, tights, and ballet shoes. Hair must be pulled back in a ponytail or bun.

Parent Involvement for ALL Ballet Classes
Parent assistance is required to help keep the noise level and play activity of siblings to a minimum during class times. Parent volunteers will also be needed during the recital to help facilitate the students entering and exiting the stage and supervise students handing out programs. A parent volunteer is also needed from each class to coordinate making or purchasing (and collecting payment for) recital hair accessories. Please indicate which area you prefer to help on your registration form.
